Powell discouraged excessive introspection among colleagues regarding the Prime Minister’s future, stressing the importance of focusing on improving the party’s performance rather than engaging in hypothetical scenarios. She emphasized the need to shift attention away from Westminster drama and towards the practical choices voters will face in the upcoming elections.
Regarding the ongoing discussions, Powell suggested that those amplifying the issue should refrain from further speculation, indicating a need to prioritize substantive matters. Powell also acknowledged the setbacks of 2025, admitting to significant errors that necessitate a stronger sense of purpose within the party.
