Over the next two years, the company plans to eliminate between 5,000 and 6,000 jobs, affecting up to 7% of its global employees. In the UK, Heineken’s branch, with offices in Edinburgh, London, Manchester, Tadcaster, Hereford, and Ledbury, employs approximately 2,100 individuals. Additionally, the group’s Star Pubs and Bars division manages 2,400 venues across the UK. The specific impact on the UK operation has not been disclosed by the Dutch brewer.
In other news, millions of mobile and broadband customers are set to benefit from a new commitment by major telecom providers.
