“Epstein Victims Outraged as Maxwell Stays Silent Before Congress”

Victims of Jeffrey Epstein express outrage over Ghislaine Maxwell’s decision to remain silent during her upcoming appearance before the US Congress. One of the women’s legal representatives vehemently insists that Maxwell should never be released from her 20-year prison sentence, alleging that she is protecting powerful men like Donald Trump instead of seeking justice for the children abused by Epstein.

Maxwell, the daughter of the late media mogul Robert Maxwell, reportedly spoke positively about President Trump during a meeting with Deputy US Attorney General Todd Blanche and her former attorney last year. Subsequently, she was transferred to a more comfortable prison in Texas.

In an interview with the Mirror, a victim, now a mother of two, criticized Maxwell for choosing to shield powerful individuals over the abused children by remaining silent. The victim accused Maxwell of prioritizing her own interests and potential pardon over revealing the truth about Trump and Epstein’s relationship.

Another victim’s attorney, Spencer Kuvin, echoed similar sentiments, condemning Maxwell’s silence as a tactic to gain favor with the President’s legal team while avoiding accountability before the Committee. Kuvin emphasized the importance of hearing from victims to expose the truth about individuals involved in the sexual exploitation scheme orchestrated by Epstein and Maxwell.

Maxwell’s transfer to a more lenient prison in Texas shortly after discussing her knowledge of Epstein with Trump administration lawyers raised suspicions of a potential presidential pardon. The move coincided with increased scrutiny on Trump’s handling of government documents related to Epstein.

Despite her intention to invoke the Fifth Amendment during her virtual appearance before the House Oversight and Government Reform Committee on February 9, Maxwell continues to deny any wrongdoing and challenge her conviction. The Committee aims to compel her testimony, amidst mounting pressure from lawmakers to address delays in releasing crucial documents related to the Epstein investigation.

Legal experts suggest that Maxwell’s stance may shift, complicating the Committee’s efforts to obtain information from her. The Committee has faced challenges in securing Maxwell’s compliance since serving her with a subpoena in 2025.

The Oversight Committee’s investigation into Epstein’s network of associates and government record handling underscores the ongoing controversy surrounding the case. Calls for transparency and accountability persist as the public demands full disclosure of Epstein-related documents to prevent further cover-ups and protect victims’ rights.
