Police authorities have unveiled fresh video footage potentially depicting a teenage girl who went missing from her residence in Texas on Christmas Eve, raising concerns of her being in immediate jeopardy.
The missing individual, identified as Camila Mendoza Olmos, aged 19, was last spotted departing her home in San Antonio early in the morning on the previous Wednesday. She was attired in a sky blue and black hoodie, light blue pajama bottoms, and white shoes, as reported by the Bexar County Sheriff’s Office.
Although Camila set out for her customary morning stroll, she failed to return home, prompting her parents’ anxieties about her safety with minimal leads on her current location.
Subsequently, law enforcement has publicized a new dashboard camera recording depicting a person walking along a route adjacent to a main roadway, with Sheriff Javier Salazar noting the attire closely resembling what Camila was wearing.
During a press briefing, Sheriff Salazar emphasized the need to explore all potential scenarios, from voluntary disappearance to self-inflicted harm or potential abduction of the individual.
The dashcam footage was shared on the County Sheriff’s Facebook page, detailing the circumstances of Camila’s departure and her last known appearance on Wildhorse Parkway.
Camila’s father, Alfonso Mendoza, made an emotional plea for her safe return, expressing his continuous prayers and yearning for her to come back home, underscoring the emotional toll her absence has taken on him.
Described as 5 feet 4 inches tall and weighing around 110 pounds, Camila is believed to have her car keys and potentially her driver’s license in her possession, according to authorities.
Despite extensive searches by family members and friends in the vicinity of her residence on Christmas Day yielding no results, Camila’s aunt, Nancy Olmos, utilized online platforms to implore the public for any information and to join in prayer for the teenager’s welfare.
Nancy Olmos highlighted Camila’s recent baptism and strong religious beliefs, emphasizing the family’s desperate quest to find her.
In an official statement on social media, a spokesperson for the Bexar County Sheriff’s Office reiterated the circumstances of Camila’s departure and the footage indicating her presence around her vehicle before she left on foot.
Individuals with relevant information regarding Camila’s whereabouts were urged to contact the Bexar County Sheriff’s Office or the Missing Persons Unit.
