A disturbed individual who posed as disabled to manipulate elderly victims into trusting him has shockingly admitted to finding peace in the sight of blood. Juan Carlos Villa Cardona, a twisted serial killer, expressed his lack of remorse for the 11 murders he committed during an interview from a Colombian prison.
Villa Cardona, in a chilling revelation on the Más Allá del Silencio podcast, likened humans to chickens and described the calming effect he experienced when seeing blood, equating it to quenching thirst with water.
Over a period from March 2012 to September 2023, Villa Cardona terrorized communities, claiming the lives of 10 elderly individuals and one minor. His method of gaining entry to victims’ homes involved presenting himself as a deaf-mute seeking financial aid for his ill mother, using a harmless facade to deceive his targets.
Once inside, Villa Cardona’s demeanor shifted drastically, leading to brutal and fatal attacks on his victims. The bodies of some victims, including Mélida González, Bernardo Giraldo, and Ana Isabel Giraldo, were found with multiple stab wounds inflicted on their necks, arms, and legs.
Justifying his heinous acts with a distorted religious belief, Villa Cardona claimed to have knelt before God both before and after each murder, suggesting that his victims deserved to die for past transgressions. Psychologists theorized that his violent tendencies may have stemmed from a traumatic childhood, marked by abandonment and a deep-seated hatred towards the elderly.
Despite evading capture for an extended period, Villa Cardona was eventually turned in by his own brothers in exchange for a monetary reward. Vowing revenge, he expressed plans to harm his siblings if given the opportunity, harboring intense resentment towards them for betraying him to the authorities.
Now serving a lengthy sentence in a high-security prison, Villa Cardona remains unapologetic and harbors deep-seated animosity towards those he perceives as having wronged him.
