Father tragically dies in Glasgow street on Christmas

A man, aged 38 and believed to be a father, tragically passed away after being discovered injured on a city street on Christmas Day. Identified as Dean Kennedy, he was found wounded in the Woodside area of Glasgow at 11:40 pm on December 25. Upon arrival, emergency services swiftly secured the scene by sealing off Napiershall Street and North Woodside Road. Despite being rushed to Queen Elizabeth University Hospital, medical intervention was unsuccessful in saving Dean’s life.

Heartfelt tributes have flooded in for Dean, with friends expressing their sorrow and memories on social media platforms. Photos from the incident site depict forensic officers in protective gear cordoning off the area, preventing access to motorists and pedestrians.

Eyewitnesses described a significant police presence, with restrictions on accessing adjacent streets due to the severity of the incident. Police Scotland has confirmed an ongoing investigation in the area, stating that they received a report of an injured individual on Napiershall Street late in the evening on December 25, 2025. The 38-year-old man was later pronounced dead at the hospital. Law enforcement is actively pursuing leads and maintaining a visible presence in the vicinity for further inquiries.
