“Enthusiastic Fan Ejected from Australian Open for Disruption”

A fan of tennis player Emma Raducanu, who gained online fame for his enthusiastic support, was ejected from the Australian Open for disruptive behavior. James Bray made headlines when Raducanu acknowledged him after her recent victory. During the match, Bray, donning an ‘Australia’ tank top, affectionately called Raducanu ‘Raddo’. Raducanu, in return, thanked him and invited him to future matches.

However, Bray’s time at the tournament took a turn for the worse when he was asked to leave during a match between Alex de Minaur and Frances Tiafoe due to his excessive cheering. Bray documented the incident on his Instagram story, revealing the police escorting him out and issuing a fine.

Despite the situation, Bray sarcastically commented on being kicked out, expressing his disappointment. He mentioned that he was simply cheering for the players like any other fan and felt unfairly targeted by security.

Tennis Australia confirmed that Bray had received warnings before his removal. They stated that despite repeated attempts to address his disruptive behavior, he continued to disturb other spectators. Victoria Police also mentioned that 21 individuals were evicted for various incidents, including disruptive behavior, but overall, they were pleased with the crowd’s conduct during the event.
