Nathan Fielder, the Vancouver-born comedian, writer, and director, has unveiled a teaser for his upcoming documentary project following his latest season on “The Rehearsal.” The documentary focuses on Elizabeth Holmes, the founder of Theranos, who was convicted of fraud in 2022 for misleading claims about revolutionary blood testing technology. Titled “You Can See Everything,” the film, created in collaboration with documentarian Lance Oppenheim, chronicles the events leading to Holmes’s imprisonment in 2023.
Lance Oppenheim, known for works like “Spermworld” (2024) and “Some Kind of Heaven” (2020), co-produced the documentary. Nathan Fielder gained fame through his show “Nathan For You,” where he humorously dispenses bad business advice. The documentary, distributed by A24, showcases a distinctive visual style and features a tense one-minute interaction between Fielder and Holmes.
The teaser was released alongside a surprise screening at the Telluride Film Festival, with early reactions praising it as a groundbreaking and captivating piece of work. Notable figures in the industry lauded the documentary, with director Daniel Howat describing it as “hysterical, shocking, and thought-provoking,” while music producer Erik Nordgren labeled it as one of the best films of the year. The documentary’s release in theaters is scheduled for next month.
