North West has reportedly removed one of her piercings following online controversy, shortly after admonishing critics to ‘get it together.’ The 12-year-old daughter of Kim Kardashian and Kanye West sparked discussions after getting a middle finger piercing.
On December 30, North shared images on Instagram, showcasing her bright blue hair under a Balenciaga puffer jacket while posing with friends in the snow. Notably, her finger piercing was absent from view despite her hand being visible.
During a summer trip to Italy with her mother, North flaunted a dermal piercing on her right hand’s middle finger, consisting of two silver balls below her lower knuckle. Observers who noticed the piercing criticized Kim for allowing her daughter to have such a permanent piercing.
Responding to the backlash, North addressed the criticism on a shared TikTok account with her mother. She posted a brief video with a background sound questioning the critics’ age and advising them to compose themselves. North added text over the video defending her finger piercing decision, and also posted now-deleted images of the piercing process to prove its authenticity.
Throughout the year, Kim has faced additional criticism for North’s wardrobe choices, with many deeming some outfits inappropriate for a 12-year-old. Kim defended her daughter’s style preferences, emphasizing her support for North’s creative expression and experimentation with different looks.
