“Malin + Goetz Enters Administration, UK Stores to Close”

Malin + Goetz, a popular beauty brand, has entered administration, leading to the closure of its seven stores in the UK. The affected stores are located in various areas of London, including Seven Dials, Soho, Spitalfields, Islington, Canary Wharf, Battersea Power Station, and Borough Yards. This decision is expected to impact over 70 jobs.

As a result of the administration process, online orders from Malin + Goetz have been temporarily halted. The company’s website displays a message informing customers about the temporary suspension of online orders, stating that they will be back soon. However, customers can still purchase Malin + Goetz products through third-party retailers like Liberty, John Lewis, and Space NK.

In a statement to TheIndustry.beauty, a spokesperson for Malin + Goetz expressed regret over the closure of their UK stores and head office due to the challenging business environment. The company mentioned that despite the unfortunate job losses, this step was deemed necessary after exploring all available options.

Although the website is expected to resume operations after a brief maintenance period, the exact duration remains unclear. Malin + Goetz, founded in New York in 2004 by Matthew Malin and Andrew Goetz, initially offered a limited range of products suitable for all skin types. Over the years, the brand has expanded its offerings to include fragrances, body care items, and a wider range of beauty products.
