“Benidorm Christmas Feasters Fume Over Meager Meals”

British tourists who had anticipated a grand Christmas feast in Benidorm were left dissatisfied with the meager portions served at the “Stag Man Steakhouse.” The €37 (£32) per person Christmas meals at the restaurant, owned by the self-proclaimed “King of Benidorm” Frank “the Stag Man,” garnered criticism on social media.

Around 220 diners had made reservations for the festive menu, heavily promoted by Frank on his social media platforms leading up to December 25. However, photos shared online displayed a sparse array of vegetables, a solitary Yorkshire pudding, unimpressive servings of mashed potatoes, and either a thin slice of beef or a turkey drumstick.

Responding to the backlash, Frank, who manages multiple venues in the popular British holiday spot, defended the establishment on social media, attributing the negative feedback to a couple who posted a misleading image on Facebook. One dissatisfied tourist shared her disappointing experience online, expressing dismay over missing food items, neglected tables, and subpar quality of the meal.

In a Facebook video, Frank apologized to customers who were unsatisfied with the Christmas dinner, attributing the discrepancies to a miscommunication with the kitchen staff due to the rushed creation of the holiday menu. He also addressed critics accusing him of mismanagement and jealousy, asserting the quality of the restaurants he recently acquired.

Frank’s partner, Jade Benidorm, joined in to defend the restaurant, highlighting that the dissatisfied customers had not raised their concerns with the management during their visit.
