The renowned Hollywood figure, along with his wife Michele, was tragically discovered deceased at their residence in Los Angeles on December 14. Approximately two weeks following the shocking events that shook the entertainment industry, esteemed director Martin, aged 83, expressed his sorrow over the passing of Rob and Michele, aged 78 and 70, respectively. The pair notably collaborated on the 2013 movie “The Wolf Of Wall Street,” with Rob featuring as Max Belfort and Martin serving as the director.
Reflecting on the loss of his colleague, Martin honored Rob’s legacy, describing him as a “Master.” Recalling their enduring friendship that began in the 1970s, the Oscar-winning filmmaker emphasized the profound impact Rob had on his life.
In a poignant piece for the New York Times, Martin reminisced: “Rob Reiner was my friend, and so was Michele. From now on, I’ll have to use the past tense, and that fills me with such profound sadness. But there’s no other choice.”
