Quebec’s Tammara Thibeault Claims Triple World Titles

Tammara Thibeault, hailing from Shawinigan, Quebec, has claimed the top spot in professional boxing. The 29-year-old secured a unanimous decision victory over Australia’s Desley Robinson in Orlando, Florida, to clinch the unified IBF, WBO, and Ring Magazine middleweight world titles. The judges all scored the fight 100-90 in favor of the Canadian boxer.

Having previously won the 2022 Commonwealth Games, Thibeault extended her professional record to 5-0 with three knockouts, maintaining her unbeaten streak in the professional arena. She seized both the IBF and WBO world titles from Robinson with this triumph.

Expressing her gratitude in a post-fight interview, Thibeault acknowledged the challenges of boxing but credited her hard work for the victory. This win also saw her secure the prestigious Ring Magazine middleweight championship, making her the quickest fighter to achieve this title in the magazine’s history.

This triumph marks another significant milestone in Thibeault’s illustrious career, transitioning from a successful international amateur career to the pinnacle of the professional boxing world.
