A 20-year-old resident of Cambridge, Ontario, has been arrested in connection with an investigation related to the transportation of cocaine from Canada to Hong Kong. Authorities have charged the individual with exporting a Schedule 1 substance and conspiracy to commit an indictable offense. The accused appeared in a Kitchener court for a bail hearing.
The investigation, conducted by the Waterloo Regional Police Service, began in September 2025 following the apprehension of a 20-year-old Cambridge woman at Hong Kong International Airport. She was found with 25 kilograms of suspected cocaine in her luggage. Recently, local law enforcement, in collaboration with various partners, apprehended a man from Markham, Ontario, believed to be associated with the alleged drug network. This network reportedly facilitated the woman’s journey from Toronto to Hong Kong. The investigation remains ongoing.
