“Is Fiona the Mysterious Secret Traitor on ‘The Traitors’?”

Speculations about the identity of the enigmatic Secret Traitor on the latest season of The Traitors have been rife since the series premiered on January 1, sparking active discussions on social media. Viewers of the show were tantalized with the promise of unveiling the Secret Traitor’s true identity in the upcoming episode airing on Wednesday (Jan 8), but I may have a hint about the mystery before then.

The previous episode, broadcast on Saturday (January 3), witnessed the dramatic appearance of the elusive Secret Traitor in a red cloak at the turret, ready to reveal their identity to the main contestants, Rachel Duffy and Stephen Libby. The question remains: who could it be?

In my view, there is a strong case for Fiona being the Secret Traitor, and here’s why.

Numerous theories abound regarding the potential identity of the Secret Traitor and their motives. Notably, Ellie explicitly referred to the ‘Secret Traitor’ in her personal address to the camera.

Conversely, some speculate that Harriet could be the Secret Traitor, citing her confrontational encounter with fellow barrister Hugo as evidence.

Nonetheless, why am I particularly convinced it is Fiona?

One noticeable pattern I observed is Fiona’s adeptness at subtly manipulating situations by deflecting blame onto others, a skill seemingly unique to her among the contestants.

This strategy became apparent in the context of the Ross and Ben incident.

It was deduced that a Traitor must have been present to know about Ben’s instructions regarding Ross, yet the Traitors failed to consider the possibility of the Secret Traitor’s involvement in the room, leading to Ben’s initial suspicion.

Fiona strategically brought up Ben’s remarks the morning after his demise but conveniently claimed forgetfulness, tasking another contestant, Jessie, to divulge the information, thus avoiding direct association.

Similarly, Fiona cast doubts on Hugo and Rachel, both confirmed Traitors, by highlighting their altered behavior from the train to the Castle, insinuating their guilt and subtly implicating them in the scheme.

Yet again, Fiona shifted blame by suggesting that Amanda prompted her to observe the behavioral changes, diverting attention from herself and onto Amanda.
