A young woman lost her life in a tragic accident on the M2 motorway in Kent on Christmas Eve. The incident occurred between Junction 5 for Sittingbourne and Junction 4 for Rainham, prompting a swift response from Kent Police, Kent Fire and Rescue Service, and National Highways Traffic Officers.
The fatal crash involved a black Volkswagen T-Roc that collided with the central reservation and overturned, resulting in the woman’s death at the scene. No other vehicles were involved, and there were no passengers in the car. Kent Police are appealing for witnesses, especially those with dashcam footage, to come forward to assist in the investigation.
The collision occurred around 12:50 pm on the London-bound carriageway near the Medway services (Junction 4), leading to the closure of the carriageway between Junctions 5 and 4 for initial inquiries by the Serious Collision Investigation Unit.
