“Severe Weather Warning Lifted After Alberta Storm”

Environment Canada has canceled a yellow severe weather warning following a storm that passed through parts of southern Alberta. The agency had cautioned about potential damaging wind gusts, large hail, and heavy rain as the storm moved from Claresholm towards areas near Lethbridge and Medicine Hat. The initial warning issued earlier in the afternoon described a dangerous thunderstorm capable of generating baseball-sized hail and causing damage to buildings and trees.

Despite the cancellation of the yellow warning, a watch for severe thunderstorms remained active in the region from Claresholm to Hays and extending south to the U.S. border as of Tuesday night. For the latest updates, individuals are advised to visit the Environment Canada website.
