Recently, CBS Media Ventures unveiled a preview for “Adam’s Law,” a new daytime courtroom series featuring Adam Levy, the 58-year-old offspring of the renowned Judge Judy. If you’re a fan of Judge Judy’s trademark sharp humor, no-nonsense attitude, and quick wit, you’re in for a treat. The teaser suggests that Levy will bring a similar courtroom vibe, delivering snappy, cutting remarks that would surely make his mother proud.
Interestingly, Judge Judy initially had reservations about passing on the judicial torch. In the trailer, she confesses that she wouldn’t have encouraged her son to take on the show a few years back because she wasn’t ready to relinquish her role. With a chuckle, the 83-year-old TV personality mentioned, “I think he has the talent to beat me — and I don’t like the idea of that.”
Scheduled to debut on September 14, the new series, which counts Sheindlin as an executive producer, comes five years after the conclusion of the original “Judge Judy” program. After a successful 25-season run on CBS, the show bid adieu as a top-rated syndicated program, attracting an average of 10 million viewers per episode.
Fans of the iconic opening lines from “Judge Judy” can expect a similar experience with “Adam’s Law.” Levy, with over 25 years of legal expertise, including serving as a district attorney and teaching trial advocacy, advises litigants on his show to stick to the truth, as falsehoods irk him.

Levy, no newcomer to courtroom reality TV, has previously presided over shows like “Tribunal Justice” and “Justice on Trial” on Prime Video. “Adam’s Law” is set to air on various CBS-owned stations in the U.S., including CBS LA and WCBS-TV, and in Canada on Citytv and Citytv+, starting September 14.
