RCMP is currently conducting an investigation into the deaths of two men discovered at a rural residence in western New Brunswick. According to a news release on Friday, RCMP officers were called to a residence on Knowlesville Road in Knowlesville, Carleton County, around 9:50 p.m. on Wednesday following a report of two sudden deaths.

Upon reaching the scene, law enforcement found the lifeless bodies of a 68-year-old man and a 74-year-old man, both residents of Knowlesville, inside the residence. The release stated that the two individuals were acquainted with each other, and there is no perceived danger to public safety.

The deaths are being treated as suspicious, and the RCMP major crime unit has been called in to aid in the investigation. Autopsies have been scheduled to determine the precise causes of death, as per RCMP officials. The news release refrained from disclosing the identities of the deceased individuals, with an RCMP representative citing limitations on further information disclosure.
