In the footage, Good’s vehicle is depicted partially obstructing the road as the agent exits his car and circles her vehicle, capturing her face and license plate. Good remains calm, reassuring the agent that she is not upset. Another individual, possibly Good’s partner, films the encounter on a phone.
During the interaction, Good asserts that they do not change their plates daily and challenges the agent, identifying herself as a US citizen and former Navy veteran. As Good reverses her car to allow other vehicles to pass, the person outside the car taunts the agent to go get lunch.
As additional officers approach, demanding Good to exit her vehicle, she visibly turns her steering wheel to proceed around the front of the officer. Subsequently, the agent fires three shots as Good’s car accelerates towards parked vehicles, with him cursing at her.
The footage, released by online platform Alpha News, contradicts statements from the White House regarding the incident, providing a clearer context of the events. It confirms that Good was obstructing ICE agents’ work by parking across the road but demonstrates that she and the other individual were not aggressive. Importantly, the video indicates that Good was not attempting to harm the officer intentionally but was trying to navigate around him.
Shortly after the video’s release, US Vice President JD Vance claimed it supported his assertion that Good was deliberately aiming to harm the officer, sparking controversy. Vance criticized the media for allegedly misrepresenting the officer’s actions, prompting a strong response.
