“Mayweather-Pacquiao Rematch Set for Vegas Sphere!”

Floyd Mayweather and Manny Pacquiao are set to create history with a rematch set to take place at The Las Vegas Sphere in September, marking the first professional boxing bout to be held at this venue. The two boxing legends previously clashed in 2015 in what was dubbed the ‘Fight of the Century’, with Mayweather emerging as the victor. Despite both fighters retiring, they are now gearing up for a second showdown.

Netflix has confirmed that Mayweather Pacquiao II is scheduled for September 19 at The Las Vegas Sphere, following their successful streaming of Anthony Joshua’s fight with Jake Paul. The upcoming rematch between Mayweather and Pacquiao is anticipated to be one of the most financially rewarding in boxing history, building on the massive success of their previous encounter at the MGM Grand Garden Arena.

Mayweather reportedly earned $250 million for the initial fight, while Pacquiao banked $150 million. Mayweather, with a perfect 50-0 record, will defend his unbeaten status in this rematch, set to be officially sanctioned.

Expressing his excitement for the rematch, Pacquiao stated, “The fans have waited long enough—they deserve this rematch, and it will be even bigger now that it will be streamed live globally on Netflix. I want Floyd to live with the one loss on his professional record and always remember who gave it to him.”

In response, Mayweather confidently remarked, “I already fought and beat Manny once. This time will be the same result.” Both fighters are expected to have warm-up bouts before their anticipated rematch, with Pacquiao likely to face Ruslan Provodnikov and Mayweather possibly taking on Mike Tyson.

This highly anticipated fight will be the first boxing event to headline The Sphere, following UFC 306 in September 2024.
