Ken Urker, aged 34, was discovered unresponsive at his residence in Raceland, Louisiana, on his birthday, October 1. The Lafourche Parish Sheriff’s Department is investigating his death, indicating no signs of foul play at this stage. Deputies were prompted to conduct a wellness check on Urker when he failed to show up for work after mentioning self-harm. Upon entering his home, officials found Urker deceased along with drug-related items and a holstered firearm. The cause of death remains undetermined.
Blanchard expressed uncertainty about the intentionality of Urker’s demise, highlighting his recent mental struggles. She shared with People magazine that Urker had faced significant scrutiny and cyberbullying during their relationship, suggesting that these pressures may have contributed to his state of mind. Their relationship began in 2017 when Urker reached out to Blanchard while she was in prison after watching the HBO documentary “Mommy Dead and Dearest,” which detailed her mother’s alleged medical abuse towards her.
Blanchard and Urker’s tumultuous journey included a brief engagement in 2018, a subsequent separation, and a reconciliation in 2019. They welcomed a daughter, Aurora Rain Urker, in December 2024.
