Epstein’s Brother Claims Murder in NewsNation Interview

Jeffrey Epstein’s brother has made a claim suggesting that the notorious financier was murdered rather than having committed suicide in 2019, contrary to official reports. Epstein was found dead by hanging in his cell at the Metropolitan Correctional Center in New York while facing sex trafficking charges. Mark, Epstein’s sibling, was the individual who identified the body and has now asserted in a recent interview that forthcoming details will reveal his belief that his brother was killed during his time in jail.

During an interview with NewsNation, Mark, aged 71, stated, “Jeffrey was murdered, and additional autopsy findings to be disclosed in February will support this claim.” He emphasized that the injuries he observed on Epstein’s body did not align with the circumstances of his alleged suicide by hanging.

Following Epstein’s death, Mark enlisted the expertise of former NYC chief medical examiner, Dr. Michael Baden, to review the autopsy conducted by city officials. In 2019, Baden concluded that the evidence pointed towards homicide rather than suicide. Despite this, official investigations maintained that Epstein, aged 66, took his own life.

A 2023 Department of Justice inspector general report highlighted failures in prison oversight that contributed to Epstein’s death but ultimately dismissed any external involvement. However, speculation persists that Epstein may have been targeted to shield influential allies.

Mark expressed his suspicions in the NewsNation interview, stating, “There are only three ways to die in prison: suicide, natural causes, or murder. Jeff was murdered. I seek to uncover the identity of his killer and their motives.”

Recently, Ghislaine Maxwell, currently serving a 20-year sentence for her involvement in Epstein’s illicit activities, also cast doubt on Epstein’s alleged suicide. In her testimony to deputy attorney general Todd Blanche, she disputed the suicide narrative and disavowed any knowledge of who may have orchestrated Epstein’s demise.

Maxwell suggested the potential for internal motives behind Epstein’s death, citing the dangers faced in prison environments. She dismissed theories of external parties orchestrating Epstein’s demise, asserting that if foul play were involved, it likely stemmed from within the prison setting.

Maxwell clarified that she lacked firsthand information or speculation regarding theories of silencing Epstein through murder. She emphasized the implausibility of external forces executing such a plan, given the opportunities available outside of prison. Additionally, she dismissed notions of blackmail or conspiracies targeting Epstein, maintaining a stance of skepticism towards such claims.
