Apple has introduced AppleCare One in the UK, a subscription service that allows users with multiple Apple devices to protect them under one plan. This service, previously launched in the US, is now available to British customers. For a monthly fee of £16.99, AppleCare One covers up to three eligible devices, such as iPhones, iPads, Macs, and Apple Watches, against accidental damage, loss, or theft.
AppleCare One enhances the existing AppleCare+ benefits by offering unlimited accidental damage repairs, battery servicing, and 24/7 priority access to Apple support. The key advantage of AppleCare One is the ability to safeguard multiple products with a single subscription, potentially resulting in significant cost savings. Apple estimates that users covering an iPhone, iPad, and Apple Watch could save up to £11.48 per month compared to purchasing separate AppleCare+ plans for each device.
Another notable feature of AppleCare One is the flexibility to add eligible devices up to four years old to the plan, as long as they are in good condition. This extended timeframe surpasses the usual 60-day window for purchasing AppleCare+ after acquiring a device. Additionally, the subscription adapts seamlessly to device upgrades, automatically transferring coverage to new devices when old ones are traded in for replacements purchased directly from Apple.
Apple emphasizes the simplicity and flexibility of AppleCare One, allowing customers to protect their existing devices with ease. Bob Borchers, Apple’s vice president of Worldwide Product Marketing, highlighted the convenience of AppleCare One in providing comprehensive coverage for eligible products under one plan and price.
