Montreal Canadiens goaltender Carey Price is set to return to the Bell Centre on November 10 to celebrate his Hall of Fame induction. The announcement was made by the team on Tuesday, with Price becoming the 62nd member of the organization to receive this prestigious honor. Following his induction ceremony on November 9, Price will be added to the Bell Centre’s Ring of Honour, reserved for esteemed former players in hockey’s history.
Having dedicated his entire 15-year NHL career to the Canadiens, Price has established himself as a franchise legend. With 712 career games under his belt, he boasts impressive stats including a 2.51 goals-against average and a .917 save percentage. Price holds the franchise records for most games played and most victories as a goaltender.
The special tribute to Price will take place during a game against the Minnesota Wild. Additionally, Price’s accomplishments include seven all-star selections and being the fifth overall pick in the 2005 NHL Entry Draft.
The Canadiens will begin their pre-season on September 19, with the regular season commencing on September 29 against the Toronto Maple Leafs.
