Singer and actress Selena Gomez is facing a lawsuit from investors who allege she engaged in fraudulent activities by not fulfilling her obligations to develop and promote her mental health startup. The investors had put in approximately $1.2 million in Wondermind Global, a venture launched in 2021 with the aim of enhancing users’ “mental fitness,” as stated in the lawsuit filed in federal court in Delaware.
According to the investors, they were promised that Gomez, a social media powerhouse with over 500 million followers, would actively participate in the company’s development as the head of marketing. However, they claim that Gomez and other key figures in the company failed to deliver on their commitments, such as the creation of a mobile application.
The lawsuit alleges that Gomez supposedly entered into a contract to perform certain duties but failed to follow through. The investors assert that the company did not have a viable business plan and did not fulfill even the most basic responsibilities, such as timely payments to employees and vendors.
A spokesperson for Gomez has not responded immediately to requests for comments. The lawsuit maintains that the investors were unaware of the company’s challenges until a news report surfaced online in September 2025, detailing the issues. The plaintiffs are now seeking to recover their investments along with legal costs.
