Police are investigating a reported sexual assault on a man in his thirties that occurred on Christmas Eve. Sussex Police is seeking information regarding the incident near Brook Street, close to Pells Pool in Lewes, between 10 pm on Christmas Eve and 3 am on Christmas Day.
The victim, who was at Pells Pool, is receiving support from specialized officers and care professionals. Detective Inspector Gavin Patch assured the public that a dedicated team is actively pursuing all leads in the investigation.
Authorities will have a visible presence in the areas surrounding Pells Pool, Brook Street, Eastgate Street, and Lansdown Place in Lewes. The public is urged to provide any relevant information or footage that could aid the investigation, especially if they were in the Lewes area on Christmas Eve.
