“Fire on Brimscombe Hill Leaves Three Missing”

A fire engulfed a residence in the early morning hours, leading to three individuals being unaccounted for.

Emergency services responded to the incident on Brimscombe Hill near Stroud in Gloucestershire at approximately 3am today. One individual escaped the burning building and was transported to Gloucestershire Royal Hospital for treatment. The whereabouts of three other individuals, presumed to have been inside the premises, remain unknown. Multiple road closures are enforced in the Brimscombe Hill vicinity as investigations continue.

Simon Opher, the MP representing Stroud, expressed deep sorrow over the incident, calling it a “tragedy for the entire community.”

He conveyed, “Our sympathies are with those impacted. We stand ready to assist the victims and their families. This is a tragic event for the entire community. I have reached out to the authorities to offer our aid.

“While managing such crises falls within the domain of emergency services, the repercussions are felt by all involved, and we appreciate their professionalism. Our hearts are with everyone affected.”

Councillor Chloe Turner shared on social media, “There was a residential fire in the Brimscombe Hill area overnight.

“Unless you are directly involved, please steer clear of the vicinity to allow emergency teams to work unhindered.

“Individuals in the community with relevant information for the investigation or in need of support following the incident should reach out to the police at 101 or approach on-site officers who can guide them to the appropriate assistance.

“Collaboration between emergency services and local authorities is underway. If you encounter challenges or have concerns, please communicate them to me directly. My thoughts are with all those impacted by this distressing occurrence.”

Gloucestershire Police reported, “A residential fire near Stroud has prompted the presence of emergency services. In the early hours of Friday, December 26, police received reports of a fire at a residence on Brimscombe Hill.

“Law enforcement arrived at the scene with teams from Gloucestershire Fire and Rescue Service and the ambulance service. One individual managed to exit the property and was taken to Gloucestershire Royal Hospital for treatment.

“Efforts are ongoing to locate the three other individuals believed to have been inside the residence. Brimscombe Hill is currently under road closures while emergency services are present, and the public is advised to avoid the area. Investigations are ongoing to determine the cause of
