Linda Hallett, Alfie’s grandmother, expressed her belief that the teen heroically sacrificed himself to shield his mother and described him as a kind-hearted and gentle boy. She shared that she had lost contact with Alfie in recent years and was devastated to learn of his death on Christmas Eve morning.
Mrs. Hallett disclosed that Alfie’s mother had relocated to Portugal without informing his father, Mark, and only revealed their whereabouts after separating from her partner, Paulo.
