“TV Star Alison Hammond Reverses Prediabetes, Loses 11 Stone”

Alison Hammond has made significant lifestyle changes to improve her health after receiving concerning health news. The popular TV presenter, known for her appearances on shows like ITV’s “This Morning” and Channel 4’s “The Great British Bake Off,” has not only shed an impressive 11 stone but has also successfully reversed her prediabetic condition through her dedication and perseverance.

Having risen to fame at the age of 22 after a brief stint on “Big Brother” in 2002, the now 50-year-old Alison has maintained her fitness journey with the assistance of a personal trainer. Alongside regular workouts, she made crucial modifications to her diet following her prediabetic diagnosis, cutting out sweets and fatty foods.

Alison, who once weighed 28 stone, continues to prioritize her fitness by training twice a week with her personal trainer and incorporating weight exercises into her routine. Her commitment to a healthier lifestyle has not only enabled her to shed weight but has also led to the reversal of her prediabetic condition.

Recognizing the importance of her health, Alison stated, “My mum had Type 2 diabetes, and she was concerned for me, so when I found out I was pre-diabetic, it was frightening. I had to make changes for my health.” Following her transformation, Alison revealed that she is no longer at risk of developing type 2 diabetes, allowing herself occasional indulgences while enjoying her newfound confidence and physique.

According to Diabetes UK, individuals with prediabetes have blood sugar levels higher than normal but not yet at the threshold for type 2 diabetes diagnosis. By addressing prediabetes early, individuals can reduce their risk of developing type 2 diabetes, potentially preventing or delaying its onset.

Diabetes UK estimates that 6.3 million people in the UK are at an increased risk of developing type 2 diabetes due to elevated blood sugar levels. Additionally, approximately 1.3 million individuals are believed to be living with undiagnosed type 2 diabetes, underscoring the importance of early detection and lifestyle modifications to manage the condition effectively.
