President Donald Trump has given the green light for the commencement of building two cutting-edge battleships for the US Navy. The announcement was made during a press briefing in West Palm Beach, Florida, where the President was accompanied by US Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth, Navy Secretary John Phelan, and Secretary of State Marco Rubio.
Describing the new vessels, Trump emphasized their unparalleled features, stating that they are unmatched in speed, size, and firepower compared to any other battleship in existence. He proudly declared them to be the most potent battleships ever constructed, hailing them as the largest in global maritime history.
Displaying conceptual images of the upcoming battleships, Trump showcased them as the future “flagships of the American naval fleet,” highlighting their advanced weaponry such as guns, missiles, hypersonic arms, and high-energy lasers. Revealing further details, Trump disclosed that the “Trump Class” battleships will be crafted from steel, weighing between 30,000 to 40,000 tonnes.
