“Telecom Giants Roll Out Price Hikes Across Plans”

Hyperoptic has recently announced an increase in monthly bills for its customers, with the new charge set at £4 starting in April 2026, up from the previous rise of £3. This price adjustment affects both new and existing customers across all Hyperoptic broadband plans. Despite previously expressing opposition to annual price hikes, Hyperoptic joins several other major telecom companies in implementing larger increases.

In contrast, Sky Mobile customers will see a £1.50 monthly rise effective February 14, 2026, marking the first price adjustment for in-contract customers in over seven years. Similarly, O2 is increasing monthly mobile bills by £2.50 from April 2026, up from the initial plan of £1.80. Three mobile users opting for a data plan of 4GB or less will face a £1.80 monthly increase from April 2026, an 80p uptick from the current £1 raise.

Customers with data plans ranging from 4GB to 100GB will experience a £1.90 rise each month, while those with over 100GB will see a £2.30 increase starting April 2026. Three broadband subscribers will witness a £3.50 monthly hike from the same month. Vodafone mobile customers signing up from November 12 can expect a £2.50 or £1.50 increase for Basics SIM plans. Vodafone broadband users will also face a £3.50 monthly bump.

For customers already under contract with Vodafone or Three, the price increase will be in line with the agreed terms. However, those out of contract may find that they are overpaying for their services. To save money, consider comparing prices online, evaluating your current usage needs, and potentially negotiating with your provider for better rates. Additionally, eligible individuals receiving benefits should explore the possibility of qualifying for a reduced social tariff.
