“Stranger Things Introduces El’s ‘Sister’ Kali in Season 5”

Stranger Things season 5, Volume 2 has made its debut on the popular streaming platform Netflix, with the addition of Eleven’s ‘sister’ Kali to the storyline.

In the previous four episodes of this season, viewers were left hanging as Will (portrayed by Noah Schnapp) unexpectedly discovered his superhuman abilities, and El (played by Millie Bobby Brown) reunited with her super-powered sibling Kali, also known as Eight (acted by Linnea Berthelsen).

Berthelsen initially appeared in season two of the series in the episode ‘The Lost Sister’, where El gained insights into other children involved in experimental programs.

The Danish actress has reappeared with an expanded role in the narrative. Following her rescue in the prior season, Kali unveils a harrowing account of the military’s actions – including the demise of her friends, her captivity, and the extraction of her blood.

She discloses that Dr. Kay (played by Linda Hamilton) aims to create more super-powered children, with El unknowingly possessing a crucial component – Henry’s blood.

Observant fans noted a significant height contrast between Berthelsen, who stands at 5 feet, Brown at 5’3, and Harbour at 6’3 during their scenes together.

Sky is currently offering a complimentary Netflix subscription with its latest Sky Stream TV bundles, such as the £15 Essential TV plan, enabling subscribers to enjoy live and on-demand TV content without the need for a satellite dish or aerial, featuring popular shows like Stranger Things and The Last of Us.

Berthelsen, a British-trained actress, relocated to London in her twenties after growing up in Denmark. Despite not anticipating a return to the series after her debut in season two, she was approached by the Duffer Brothers in 2022 and was offered a role in the latest season.

In a recent interview with Entertainment Weekly, Berthelsen shared her surprise at the opportunity to reprise her character, highlighting the unexpected turn of events in her acting career.

Following her stint on Stranger Things, the London-based actress appeared in the thriller Devs, portraying software engineer Jen. She also starred in the sci-fi series The Desert and various short film projects, with her role in Netflix’s Stranger Things marking a significant milestone in her acting portfolio.

Viewers can now catch Stranger Things Season 5, Part 2 streaming on Netflix.
