“Steiner tips Oliver Bearman as potential successor to Lewis Hamilton”

Guenther Steiner, ex-Haas team principal, has speculated that Lewis Hamilton’s tenure at Ferrari may be short-lived following a lackluster debut season. Steiner has endorsed up-and-coming talent Oliver Bearman as a potential successor to Hamilton before the Las Vegas Grand Prix.

Hamilton’s performance at Ferrari has raised concerns, prompting discussions about his future with the team. Steiner suggests that if Hamilton’s current form persists into the next season, his association with the Italian outfit could end prematurely.

Bearman, who previously filled in for Carlos Sainz at the Saudi Arabia Grand Prix and later joined Ferrari’s Driving Academy, has impressed with his performances at Haas this year. Steiner, in agreement with many, sees Bearman as a viable candidate to step into Hamilton’s shoes.

Expressing his confidence in Bearman, Steiner emphasized the young driver’s progress and potential. He highlighted Bearman’s recent strong showings, indicating that he could secure a place in a top team if Ferrari does not offer him a seat in the near future.

Despite the ongoing speculation about Hamilton’s future, the seven-time world champion has hinted at staying with Ferrari for an extended period, citing his existing contract. Hamilton has made it clear that discussions about his future are not a current priority.
