Earlier this month, Sky made an announcement regarding adjustments to its TV channel lineup. The anticipated update is now just hours away, featuring the return of a service and the closure of two platforms.
Sky Showcase and Sky Max are set to cease broadcasting any content starting from Tuesday, February 24. Despite this news, subscribers need not fret as Sky has confirmed the revival of a beloved channel intended to replace the aforementioned platforms.
Tomorrow, Sky One will launch, offering viewers a variety of comedy and entertainment programs, including new shows like The Dyers’ Caravan Park and Gemma Collins: Four Weddings and a Baby. Additionally, subscribers can look forward to familiar favorites such as Rob & Romesh Vs., The Paper, and Ted.
Furthermore, Sky One will be home to Saturday Night Live UK, scheduled to debut later this year. Carli Kerr, MD of Sky TV & NOW, expressed excitement about the channel’s launch, emphasizing its unique and energetic content lineup.
Viewers can access Sky One on channel 106 starting tomorrow, February 24. In addition to this channel launch, Sky has unveiled a new offering called Ultimate TV, priced at £24 per month. This plan grants access to popular streaming services like Disney+, Netflix, Hayu, and the upcoming HBO Max app, along with over 130 premium channels including Sky Comedy, Sky Documentaries, and Sky Crime.
As a bonus for Sky Cinema users, a dedicated Disney movie channel will be directly integrated into the TV guide, allowing for seamless access to Hollywood hits without the need for the Disney+ app.
The £24 Ultimate TV plan includes:
– Netflix Standard with Ads
– Disney+ Standard with Ads (starting from March)
– HBO Max Basic with Ads (starting from March 26th)
– Hayu (available from July, with select shows accessible from March)
– PLUS: Over 130 channels from Sky.
