The title of the hardest-working royal of 2025 has been bestowed upon King Charles, who led with 532 engagements throughout the year, surpassing his sister, Princess Anne, by 50 engagements. Despite undergoing ongoing cancer treatment, the 77-year-old monarch dedicated himself to royal duties, accounting for nearly a quarter of all official royal engagements in 2025.

Throughout the year, King Charles maintained a rigorous schedule that included domestic engagements across the country and international visits to Italy, Canada, and Poland. Despite facing health challenges, he increased his workload at the beginning of the year, showing resilience and dedication to his responsibilities.

In a positive development, the King recently announced a reduction in his cancer treatment for the New Year, attributing the success to early diagnosis and adherence to medical advice. Princess Anne, on the other hand, conducted 478 engagements in 2025, working diligently despite her brother’s higher engagement count.

Following King Charles and Princess Anne in the rankings were other senior royals who actively participated in official duties. The Duke of Edinburgh, Prince Edward, took third place with 313 engagements, while his wife, Sophie, the Duchess of Edinburgh, followed closely with 235 engagements. Queen Camilla completed 228 engagements, securing the fifth spot in the list.

Additional working royals, including the Duke of Gloucester, Prince William, Duchess of Gloucester, and Duke of Kent, were also recognized for their contributions to royal engagements in 2025. Notably, as the Princess of Wales, she gradually resumed her duties after a cancer diagnosis, conducting 68 engagements since the beginning of the year.
