Jake Paul set to face Anthony Joshua in heavyweight showdown

Jake Paul has declared his intention to humiliate Anthony Joshua in their upcoming heavyweight clash scheduled for next month. News surfaced recently that both fighters were finalizing an agreement to face off in December, just days before Christmas. The bout will consist of eight three-minute rounds, with both competitors wearing 10oz gloves, and will impact their professional records.

Paul’s anticipated fight against Gervonta Davis was canceled due to allegations against Davis, leading to Paul’s last victory over Julio Cesar Chavez Jr in June. Despite criticism from the boxing community, Paul remains confident in his ability to defeat the two-time heavyweight champion Joshua, stating his intentions in a video on his YouTube channel.

Joshua, who last fought in a defeat against Daniel Dubois in September 2024, sees this upcoming fight as a warm-up before his return to the ring in February and a potential showdown with Tyson Fury in the summer. Various figures, including rising heavyweight Moses Itauma, have shared their thoughts on the match, with Itauma questioning Paul’s decision to accept the challenge.

Both Paul and Joshua have expressed their determination to succeed in the fight, with Paul aiming to silence his critics and Joshua promising a grand comeback. The showdown is set to take place in Miami on December 19, with the event scheduled to be broadcast live on Netflix.
