Co-op to Open 11 New Stores Across UK

Co-op is gearing up to unveil 11 fresh outlets this week, covering various locations including Bristol and the Scottish Highlands. Notably, Co-op will be the inaugural permanent retailer at the newly developed Brent Cross Town in London.

These new establishments comprise a mix of brand-new stores, franchise-operated outlets, and revamped locations. This initiative is part of Co-op’s strategic plan to invest in over 200 newly established and refurbished stores by 2024/25.

The latest batch of store launches is part of the 50-store rollout that Co-op previously confirmed, scheduled for November and December, just in time for the festive season. Co-op is advocating for business-rates reform in the upcoming Budget to support its growth plans.

Kate McCrae, Co-op’s Operations Director, emphasized the company’s commitment to creating community-centric stores that serve as vital local hubs. Co-op is dedicated to enhancing local economies, supporting British suppliers, and fostering job creation across the UK high streets.

Additionally, Co-op recently announced an array of new benefits for its members, including personalized offers, increased discounts, member-exclusive games, reward schemes, and unique deals. Members stand to save over £90 during the months of October, November, and December through these offerings.

Rachel Halter, Co-op’s Director of Membership, highlighted the company’s focus on delivering exceptional value to its members through enhanced personalized offers, expanded discounts, and engaging features like in-app games. Co-op aims to provide consistent value and rewards to its loyal members with every purchase.

Co-op’s proactive approach to store expansion, community involvement, and member benefits underscores its commitment to delivering quality service and value to customers nationwide.
