Apple has unveiled the latest addition to its smartphone lineup with the launch of the iPhone 17e, offering significant enhancements at an attractive price point. Priced at £599, the device is powered by a speedy A19 processor and boasts features such as MagSafe charging, a robust design, and an impressive single-lens camera. This price makes it £200 cheaper than Apple’s flagship iPhone model.
In a similar vein, Samsung has introduced its new Galaxy A57 and A37 models, starting at just £399. While these models may not match the performance or charging capabilities of the iPhone 17e, they come equipped with a 6.7-inch screen featuring 120Hz technology, providing a smoother user experience compared to the 60Hz display of the 17e.
The Galaxy phones also offer notable features like large 5,000mAh batteries, triple lens cameras, and a P68 water and dust resistance rating. Samsung has integrated various smart features into its devices, including support for Google’s Circle to Search for quick web searches and advanced photo editing tools like Object Eraser and Edit Suggestions.
Moreover, the Galaxy phones introduce an enhanced Voice Transcription feature within the Voice Recorder app, enabling users to transcribe call recordings quickly and convert voicemail audio into text. Samsung has committed to providing long-term support for the Galaxy A57 5G and A37 5G models, promising up to six generations of Android OS and One UI updates, along with six years of security patches.
Both models will be available for purchase on Samsung.com starting April 10th, with the Galaxy A57 5G priced from £529 (256GB) and the Galaxy A37 5G starting at £399 (128GB). The Galaxy A57 5G will be offered in Awesome Navy, Awesome Grey, Awesome Icyblue, and Awesome Lilac colors, while the Galaxy A37 5G will come in Awesome Lavender, Awesome Charcoal, Awesome Greygreen, and Awesome White options.
