Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) are currently probing a fatality that occurred on Eelünaapéewi Lahkéewiit, also known as the Delaware Nation at Moraviantown situated northeast of Chatham-Kent. Middlesex County OPP received notification just before midnight on July 25 regarding an individual who had been transported to the hospital with critical injuries, as outlined in a news release by OPP on Thursday. Sadly, the individual succumbed to their injuries later on.
Authorities suspect that a 33-year-old resident of Chatham sustained injuries from an incident along River Line within Eelünaapéewi Lahkéewiit. The circumstances surrounding the fatal injuries are currently under scrutiny, according to the police. They are urging anyone with pertinent information to step forward and assist in the investigation.
