Timothée Chalamet made a bold decision to decline the option of having a stunt double for his latest film, Marty Supreme. Instead, he opted to fully commit to the role, showcasing his bare behind in a pivotal scene of the production.
The 29-year-old actor’s dedication to his character Marty did not go unnoticed by his co-star, Kevin O’Leary, who revealed that Timothée rejected the idea of using a stunt double for the scene where his character gets hit with a paddle. Kevin confirmed, “That’s really Chalamet’s backside.”
In an interview with The Hollywood Reporter, Kevin, who was making his acting debut in the film, disclosed, “He didn’t want the stunt double. I said, ‘Timmy, I’m going to have to belt your backside, are you sure you want to do this?’” Kevin admitted that the scene still makes him uneasy to this day as Timothée immortalized the moment on film.
The movie revolves around Timothée’s character Marty, a man aiming to earn enough money to travel to Japan for a table tennis tournament. Along the way, he clashes with Kevin’s character, Milton Rockwell, who becomes interested in table tennis after meeting Marty. The scene in question involves Milton paddling Marty’s backside in retaliation for the insults he endures throughout the movie.
Aside from his acting pursuits, speculation has arisen among fans suggesting that Timothée may also be moonlighting as a rapper adopting a Liverpudlian accent. Fueling these rumors, Timothée coyly avoided addressing the topic during an interview, responding with a simple “no comment” when pressed about his possible alter ego as EsDeeKid.
The mystery surrounding Liverpool-based rapper EsDeeKid, who remains anonymous and only shows his eyes in promotional material, has sparked intense speculation among fans, with some drawing comparisons between Timothée’s and EsDeeKid’s physical features to support their theories.
As the intrigue continues to grow, fans eagerly await further developments to shed light on the rumored connection between Timothée Chalamet and the enigmatic rapper EsDeeKid.
