A woman has been handed a life sentence for the murder of her four-week-old daughter in a horrific incident. In 2005, China Arnold, then 25 years old, lived with her boyfriend and children in Dayton, Ohio. Arnold took her newborn daughter, Paris, to the hospital in a heavily intoxicated state, where the infant was declared dead. Initially released due to lack of evidence, Arnold was later arrested again. Prosecutors revealed that Arnold had placed the baby in a microwave following an argument over paternity, resulting in fatal injuries. Arnold’s cellmate disclosed that Arnold confessed out of fear of her boyfriend discovering her infidelity. Arnold was convicted of aggravated murder and sentenced to life without parole. Despite appeals, she remains incarcerated at the Dayton Correctional Institution.
