The advanced version of Alexa, Alexa+, enhances user interactions with a more conversational and personalized experience. Users can engage with Alexa in a more human-like manner, allowing her to learn preferences, routines, and interests, such as music and food preferences.
With Alexa+, users can receive tailored recommendations for films, recipes, and sports updates based on their preferences. Additionally, the platform offers features like creating shopping lists, tracking prices, sending delivery alerts, and comparing products through online reviews.
Controlling smart home devices is made easier with Alexa+, enabling users to manage devices and create custom Routines through voice commands. Seamless control of whole-home speaker setups is also possible by instructing Alexa to play music in specific areas of the home.
The UK version of Alexa+ has been adapted to accommodate British communication styles and cultural nuances. To address privacy concerns, Amazon has implemented privacy features, including the Alexa Privacy dashboard for managing interactions and voice recordings.
Alexa+ is currently available with Early Access for free, with a subsequent monthly fee of £19.99 after the promotional period. Amazon plans to extend Early Access invitations to hundreds of thousands of customers in the UK in the following weeks.
