“Sky Mobile Subscribers Face £1.50 Monthly Bill Increase”

Millions of Sky Mobile subscribers are set to experience an increase in their monthly bills starting next month following the recent announcement of a price hike. The majority of customers can expect a £1.50 per month increase, totaling an annual rise of £18. However, some individuals may see a higher or lower adjustment in their billing amount.

The revised pricing will come into effect on February 14, 2026, marking the first instance of a price alteration for in-contract Sky Mobile customers in over seven years. Should customers wish to opt out due to dissatisfaction with the price adjustment and are within the minimum contract term, they have the option to cancel their package without incurring early termination fees.

Notably, the cost of the Sky Mobile social tariff, catering to low-income users, will remain unchanged. The decision to raise prices is attributed to elevated wholesale network expenses, with affected customers receiving notifications of the impending bill adjustments starting today.

A spokesperson from Sky Mobile elaborated on the reasoning behind the price modification, stating, “To maintain the high quality, service, and value that our customers deserve, most Sky Mobile subscribers will encounter a £1.50 increase in their monthly bill starting February. This decision was made after careful consideration, as we have refrained from altering mobile prices mid-contract for more than seven years.”

The adjustment in prices aligns with industry-wide cost pressures and enables continued investments in network infrastructure and customer service enhancements. In a similar move, O2 has announced a £2.50 per month increase for the majority of mobile and SIM-only contract customers, deviating from the initially planned rise of £1.80 per month starting April 2026.

For Three mobile users opting for data plans of 4GB or less from November 9 onward, a monthly price hike of £1.80 will take effect in April 2026, representing an 80p increment over the current £1 monthly rise. Customers with plans ranging from 4GB to 100GB will experience a £1.90 increase, while those with over 100GB will face a £2.30 rise in their monthly charges. Three broadband subscribers, on the other hand, will see their bills climb by £3.50 per month effective April 2026.

Furthermore, Vodafone mobile subscribers entering into new agreements from November 12 will encounter a £2.50 monthly increase, with Basics SIM plan holders facing a £1.50 rise. Vodafone broadband consumers, meanwhile, will experience a £3.50 per month price adjustment. Existing Vodafone or Three broadband or mobile contract holders will witness a rise in their monthly fees as per the terms of their original agreements.
