Adam Peaty recently shared a snapshot from his wedding day amid reported family tensions, indicating his mother will not attend the ceremony. The renowned Olympic swimmer is set to marry Gordon Ramsay’s daughter, Holly, 25, at the Abbey Church of Saint Peter and Saint Paul in Bath today.
Reports suggest that only Adam’s sister, Bethany, will be present from his side of the family due to an ongoing feud overshadowing the event. Adam posted a morning picture on his Instagram Stories, showcasing a picturesque sunrise over a pool and snowy landscape, captioned “Morning of our wedding.”
Leading up to the big day, the 30-year-old expressed his anticipation for the wedding with Holly by enjoying a lavish trip to Lapland. Accompanied by his five-year-old son from a previous relationship with artist Eirianedd Munro, Adam described himself as “the luckiest man on earth.”
Among Holly’s family members attending the wedding are her father, celebrity chef Gordon Ramsay, along with her sisters Tilly and Megan, her mother Tana, and her brother Jack, a marine. The guest list also includes notable personalities like David Beckham and his family, with Adam’s sister standing in as a bridesmaid for Holly.
However, Adam’s parents, Caroline and Mark, along with other relatives, were reportedly not invited due to a conflict that arose when Caroline purchased a dress for the wedding deemed unsuitable by Adam and Holly. The discord escalated as some of Adam’s family members were excluded from the couple’s engagement party, which was filmed for Gordon Ramsay’s show on Netflix.
Caroline expressed her sorrow over the situation, feeling alienated from her son and his new family, stating they are becoming increasingly isolated. In response, Adam addressed ongoing personal challenges and emphasized the importance of understanding both sides of the story, expressing gratitude for the support received from well-wishers.
Holly also shared Adam’s statement on her Instagram account, shedding light on the complex dynamics surrounding their wedding.
