Just a few months prior to the tragic deaths of Monique Tepe and Spencer Tepe in their home, an unidentified woman placed a peculiar call to emergency services.
On December 30, the bodies of Monique, aged 39, and Spencer, aged 37, were found, indicating a distressing double homicide. Reports from the police suggest that Spencer had sustained multiple gunshot wounds, while Monique had been shot at least once in the chest.
The discovery was prompted by Spencer’s absence from work, a behavior described as unusual by colleagues. Concerned individuals visited the Tepe residence, where they heard children crying, leading to a request for a welfare check.
The couple’s children, unharmed physically but emotionally distressed, were located at the scene. As inquiries continue, a mysterious phone call has left authorities puzzled.
In the early hours of April 15, long before the tragic event, a call was made to 911 from the Tepe residence in Columbus, Ohio. A recording obtained by Fox News Digital captures a woman reporting a “domestic dispute” before abruptly ending the call and reassuring the operator that she was fine when contacted again.
During the call, the distressed woman claimed everything was fine despite the operator’s concern. She mentioned a disagreement with her partner but insisted it was non-physical and that no violence occurred.
Family members, including Monique’s brother-in-law Rob Misleh, expressed doubts about the call, suggesting it did not match Monique’s voice. The dispatcher classified it as a “domestic dispute,” confirming that no further assistance was necessary.
Investigations into the case have dismissed the possibility of a murder-suicide and found no signs of forced entry or weapons at the scene. Authorities released a video of a “person of interest” near the property, dressed in light pants and a dark hooded coat.
Monique’s brother highlighted that the couple had recently celebrated their fourth wedding anniversary and described them as loving and joyful individuals. The family is eager for justice in light of this tragic event.
