O2 has officially announced that a vast number of its customers are receiving a complimentary high-speed upgrade. This upgrade is introducing faster 5G+ services to users throughout the UK, offering improved mobile coverage and significantly quicker download speeds. O2 guarantees a 50% increase in performance compared to the previous 4G technology.
Apart from speed and reliability enhancements, users can also expect longer battery life as devices consume less power by no longer needing to connect to both 4G and 5G networks simultaneously. This initiative demonstrates Virgin Media O2’s commitment to improving network services and providing a more reliable user experience, with a daily investment of £2 million to support customers in embracing upcoming mobile innovations.
