“Four Arrested After Disturbance and Firearm Incident on Christmas Day”

Four individuals have been apprehended following a disturbance and a firearm discharge in a village street on Christmas Day. Law enforcement initially responded to a report of a man being attacked in Bradwell Lea, Gamesley, Derbyshire, around 4:20 pm. The victim, a teenager, sustained severe head injuries and is currently hospitalized in critical condition. Another teenager arrived at Glossop Police Station with stab wounds to the abdomen shortly after the incident and is now in stable condition at the hospital.

According to Derbyshire Police, CCTV footage indicates a firearm being discharged at the scene, although neither victim has gunshot wounds, and there are no reported injuries from a firearm. Three men and a woman were arrested at a residence in Hollins Close, Gamesley, by armed officers in connection with the incident. A police statement confirmed that all individuals involved in the altercation have been detained.

Authorities stated that the victims and suspects are acquainted with each other, and there is no apparent threat to public safety from the individuals involved. Police are urging any witnesses, especially those with CCTV, mobile phone, or dashcam recordings of the incident, to come forward for further assistance.
