Virgin Media is rolling out a major upgrade to its TV platform, offering customers three new bonus channels at no extra cost. This enhancement includes Rakuten’s introduction of three FAST channels this month.
The newly added channels are Rakuten TV Drama on Ch462, Rakuten TV Comedy on Ch463, and Rakuten TV: Sci Fi on Ch464. These channels feature a variety of popular movies and TV shows in the drama, comedy, and sci-fi genres.
All Virgin TV 360 and Flex customers will automatically receive these new channels without any additional steps required. The channels are easily accessible through Virgin Media’s TV guide and can be found using voice control for convenient browsing.
David Bouchier, Chief TV and Entertainment Officer at Virgin Media O2, highlighted that the introduction of these streaming channels aims to provide customers with top-tier entertainment without added costs. This enhancement brings the total number of FAST channels available to Virgin TV customers to 40, offering a diverse range of content.
While Virgin Media TV requires a subscription fee, the addition of these new channels elevates its offerings above what is available through free services. Customers can now enjoy a broader selection of entertainment options through Virgin Media’s upgraded channel lineup.
