“Multiple Stabbing Incident at Japan Factory: 8 Injured”

Eight individuals were swiftly transported to a medical facility following an alleged large-scale stabbing incident at a factory in Japan. Law enforcement authorities hurried to the Yokohama Rubber Factory in Mishima after receiving reports of multiple individuals being attacked by an intruder who reportedly poured a substance on them around 4:30 pm local time on Boxing Day. The fire department confirmed that a total of 15 people sustained injuries, with six requiring hospitalization and eight receiving on-site medical attention.

Emergency responders stated that all 15 victims are conscious, with eight individuals reportedly stabbed and six allegedly exposed to an unidentified liquid. The severity of their injuries is currently unknown, as per NHK News. The suspected perpetrator has been apprehended on charges of attempted murder, and an investigation into the incident is ongoing, as per police statements.

Authorities revealed that the suspect, believed to be in his 30s, is connected to the factory in question. Situated in a residential area approximately 2 kilometers southeast of Mishima’s primary train station, the Yokohama Rubber factory spans about 112,000 square meters and specializes in manufacturing tires for various vehicles, including passenger cars and trucks.

As of last December, the company had a workforce exceeding 980 employees.
